Lover Shifting
In soothe, our mouths open
Sleep crooned in our ears to wake
And drew on our cheeks
Last night I crammed your hair with whispers
Licked your belly button and fell in
“In here, you shall not fear!”
Confine myself not!
It is of solace that I speak
Two split halves entwined
I no longer peep under the bed
For trolls and other demons,
But find repose in groping your face
Rumour has it passion mimics impulsion
I would fain be deceived
How splinters of love gored my elephant skin
